Hey guys, great site! I am a current UO student, working for Sports Services this summer. I'm trying to track down an action shot of two of your teammates: Rocky Dipietro (number 25) and Miles Gorrell (number 64). Could anyone help me out with that? I've scowered the archives here at the university, but haven't found anything. Thought I'd try this!

Thanks in advance!

Ive seen many GEE GEE Teams as PA ANNOUNCER right up to the 2000 champs.. but I keep bumping into thousand of people who keep on reflecting this incredile 75 SQUAD....ive seen the black and white filmed games and it"s an honor to be associated with the garnet and grey family.....and this site was an ingenious way to remember those who at times might have been forgotten by another generation..... we must keep those memories ALIVE..

I have been in a lot of pain more from my degenerating spine disease, when last I wrote on the Guestbook I was having the Bypass of my Popiteal artery which was a success, I am still waiting for my Gastric Bypass operation which the neurology specialist says would reduce my pain level by about 10 to 20% and not to get my hopes up for more. I have had all the testing a man could want, I have had my 3 hour pre-op class with behaviouralist and Nutritionalist. I can now see the surgeon on July 23th, 2013 at which time a date will be set for My Gastric Bypass operation in the fall. Hope you are doing well Mike Murphy after your heart scare.
Love to all you Gees Gees.

The next best thing to being a Gee Gee in 1975 was of course being a fan and a U of O student. As the editor of the The Fulcrum, I went with my sports editors Bob Fortier and Bob Leslie to every single game (all of our university years but especially every one of the 75 season). At the old Lansdowne Stadium we sat up in David Loeb's own box to get a spectacular view and photographic advantage of the field. Then at the end of another victorious game we climbed down from our lofty tower and joined all the students on the way back to campus on the buses.  At Panda, which started in Hull and ended at the Albion, we reveled in your success. And the revelry grew with every game that year. Despite your closeness as a team, we knew you guys on campus - and I hold out a friendly hand to Neil Lumsden and Jeff Woods in this regard - and we knew you on the field. The 75 season was without a doubt the most enjoyable and magical campaign of all, and nothing has compared to it since.  I have campaigned now on my own to get a group of 1975 arts alumni to get together this September (2013) as Panda is back again. Here's hoping a majority of Gee Gees will see it worthwhile to be in Ottawa for the weekend for the 38th anniversary of the best university football team ever to compete in Canada.

Great site. As a GEE GEE in 1978 i had a great time with real good guys. After transfering from Laurier i looked forward to a few years there, but a  contract with the Argos and then the Toronto Grizzlies, took care of that. The one year there was the best. Phil Pilon, Barry Belshaw, Rockey DiPietro, the Gifto brothers- we had a great team but a greater family atmosphere.

As I look at the GeeGees  Alumni site I would like to  let my Alumni that I am being operated on the 26th of june, 2012 for my left leg blocked popiteal Artery which is 100% blocked. then I will be operated on for Gastric bypass to reduce my weight so it will reduce my chronic pain by 20% as I have degenerating disc disease where my lumbar is 100% deteriating and my thoracic inthree places and my cervical is causing pain in left hand from radicularpathy. This is why I haven't been out to the Touchdown dinner. If I make through all these operations then I will be having both Knees done. Gilly not that I finally found that Pizza under the bench in the locker room LOL Alan Moffat

Hey guys just wanted to say it was really great to see so many of the 75 's there for Eric.  I always feel I got to know many of you arriving in 76 and playing with many members of the 75 team that stayed on.  Great group.  It was great honoring Eric but equally great to see Neil and Billy and Dougie and Boo Boo, Julian, McNeely etc.
great group.  Had I not been held back a year as a new immigrant to Canada, I would have been on this team.  lol

Sad news on my personal home front. My father Peter E Ribbins, who was a big GeeGees fan since my cousin Pete played, passed away on Feb. 23rd. He truly enjoyed our years of success, and was able to get to know many of the 75 team.

DJ:  I discovered the site quite accidently and enjoyed reviewing the great material you have put together.  You even have the great picture of Chuck and I that was taken right before the '75 Vanier Cup game.
I had breakfast at Father and Sons restaurant this past summer with two of my sons  and the restaurant has the team picture displayed over the entrance to the kitchen.  The servers told me that I was the first person they had even met from the picture.  Good memories!

This web-site was just recently brought to my attention, amazing I must say.  The reason I am making this is post is because I'd like to ask any of the 75 season players if they have any stories, interesting facts or information about Cam Thompson.  I am dating his youngest daughter who never had the chance to meet her dad.  Any information would be greatly apperciated.   You may contact me or her directly at
Thank you very much to anyone who responds to this post.

Did you know? In Heaven the police are British, the engineers are German, the cooks are Italian, the lovers are French , and it's run by the Swiss. Conversely, in Hell, the police are German, the engineers are French, the cooks are British, the lovers are Swiss, and it's run by Italians. I look forward to seeing all you guys in Ottawa on the 24'th of April.

Hey Doug Iknow it is getting late and the economy has been better but what do you think about a Steve Carlo bobble head doll and possibly an an Al Moffit and Big Mac fat head gift for x-mas on the geegees site? Proceeds can go to the Tim Berryman babysitting fund. I love you guys! Your friend Brian82ED

Doug thanks for getting those game films up,had a blast watchingus put it to the # 2 teams in the country on consecutive weeks. One thing that we haven't received enough credit for as a team was our strength of schedule. we played and beat the #1 team in the country, othewr than us  four times that year. Once in their backyard and three weeks in a row twice at Landsdowne and finally in Toronto in terirble weather. Am looking forward to the download of the Vanier cup telecast. Thanks for all your work.#53

This is probably my 10th visit to the site and it just keeps getting better. Love the addition of the videos and "Whammer Jammer" from the J. Geils Band brings back all those early mornings at training camp when Slick would put out his speakers into the hallway and crank it up to start the day for another two a day.
And no D.J. you can never have to much of "The Eagles"
